Grooming

Elissa has been an all breed groomer for more than 18 years, custom trained by a long time poodle breeder. Miriah joined her team in 2012 as a bather and the two of them make an excellent team with much added value to our hospital.

Elissa offers full grooming services to all breeds of dogs and cats, and can accommodate some requests for other animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs or ferrets, depending on the needs and the temperament of the animal.

A full groom consists of a bath, full body haircut, nail trim or dremel, anal gland expression and ear cleaning.  Any issues with your pet’s skin or teeth will be noted and brought to your attention.

A bath and cleanup consists of a bath, full brush out, nail trim, anal gland expression, and ear cleaning.  For those dogs with longer hair you can add a “trim tight” to this which will trim the hair on the backs of the legs, the belly, and the britches without affecting the overall length of the body coat.

We offer several different shampoos, customized to your particular animal’s needs.  We also have a deodorizing shampoo that works well for de-skunking.

Haircuts are customized to the owner’s preference and each animal’s coat needs.  We do not use “heated” cage dryers and offer larger runs for big dogs rather than confined cages.

 We have an exercise area for dogs that are here for more than a couple of hours and can accommodate owner’s requests for access to food or water while their pet is here.

Grooming is by appointment only. Drop-off is between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM unless special arrangements are made.
